Suggestions for Activities in Santiago:
A nice place to shop for typical handicrafts is the Pueblo Los Dominicos. http://www.pueblitolosdominicos.com/   Many people also visit the Pre Columbian Museum http://www.precolombino.cl/es/english/index.php . The restaurant Los Adobes de Argomedo http://www.losadobesdeargomedo.cl/panoramica.htm puts on a Chilean folkloric dance show.  Either of the hotels will be able to recommend additional things to do as well, i.e. visits to the wine country, etc.
