Please keep in mind that the log cabins are located in Yaak, Montana, and the Kootenai River House is located in Libby, Montana.

If you are heading to the Yaak log cabins, be certain to get your groceries before you head for the Yaak. The cabins are an hour drive back to Libby. You may pick up groceries in Bonners Ferry, Idaho or Troy or Libby, Montana depending on which direction you're traveling.

Cabins will be open and ready for you when you arrive, just follow the signs to your cabin, go on in and make yourselves at home! Check in time any time after 3:30PM / Check out is 11:00AM.

Directions to the Yaak Cabins:
35895 Yaak River Road, Yaak, MT 59935

From Spokane, Washington - approximately 3 hours
• I-90 East to Coeur D’Alene, ID
• Highways 95 and 2 through Sandpoint and Bonners Ferry, ID
• 3 miles north of Bonners Ferry, turn right onto Highway 2
• Approximately 3.5 miles past the WELCOME MONTANA sign, turn left on Route 508 (Yaak River Road)
• Continue 35.9 miles and the driveway is on the left (log sign 35895 Yaak River Road)
• Last place to purchase groceries is Boundary Trading on Hwy 95 in Bonners Ferry

From Kalispell / Glacier National Park - approximately 3 hours
• Take Hwy 2 west to Libby
• Turn right on Hwy 37 in Libby and go over the Kootenai River
• Take the second left after crossing Kootenai River on Pipe Creek Road (sign says Yaak)
• Continue 37 miles until Yaak junction (Dirty Shame Saloon and Yaak Mercantile on right)
• Take a right and continue approximately 6 miles and driveway is on left (log sign 35895 Yaak River Road)
• Last place to purchase groceries is Rosauers on Hwy 2 in Libby (you’ll go past the Hwy 37 turnoff to get to Rosauers, which is a few blocks farther on the left side)

From Missoula, Montana - approximately 4 hours
• I-90 west to Hwy 93 north to Hwy 200 west to Noxon, MT
• Approx. 3-4 miles past Noxon take a right on Hwy 56
• At intersection with Hwy 2 (approx 38 miles) take left onto Hwy 2 West
• Go through Troy and continue approx 12 miles and take a right onto Hwy 508 (Yaak River Road)
• Go 35.9 miles and driveway is on the left (log sign 35895 Yaak River Road)
• Last place to purchase groceries is Stein’s IGA in Troy

Directions to the Kootenai River Lodge:
1795 Kootenai River Rd Libby, MT 59923

Arriving from the East or West into Libby on Hwy 2
• Turn onto Hwy 37 north
• Go 7 or 8 blocks and you will cross over the Kootenai River
• Go approximately ¼ mile and you’ll see the Kootenai River Road on your left (Dream Marine is on the corner).
• Take a left onto the Kootenai River Road and go exactly 1.8 miles and you’ll see their sign on the left. This is the driveway. Proceed down the driveway
• The house will be open, so go on in and make yourselves at home!

Arriving from the North into Libby via Hwy 37
• Look for Mac’ Market on right about 2 miles outside of Libby
• Continue about ¾ mile and you’ll see Dream Marine on the right
• Take the right turn onto the Kootenai River Road just beyond Dream Marine
• Go exactly 1.8 miles and their driveway is on the left - you’ll see the sign
• There is a great grocery store in Libby called Rosauers. It’s on Hwy 2 in the middle of town
