Not Included: Airfare, accommodations and meals other than lodge, transfers to/from airport, staff & guide gratuities, alcohol, licenses.
Additional Costs: A 15% gratuity will be added to the food and beverage portion of bill, and there will be an additional 1% room tax added to the bill.
Travel Logistics:
Arrival Information: To get to Morrison’s Lodge you will need to make flight arrangements into Medford, OR and rent a car. Alternatively, shuttles are available from Affordable Shuttles (1-866-484-4467).
Getting to the Lodge: When traveling to Morrison's in Southern Oregon, take I-5 (north or south) to Exit #61-Merlin. Turn left (west) onto Merlin-Galice Road and go 12 1/2 miles. You will cross a large, yellow bridge over the Rogue River just about a couple of miles before you reach Morrison's, which will be on your right.
Departure Information: On your departure day you will leave the lodge after breakfast.
Travel Cash:
The lodge accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and AMEX as well as personal checks and cash.
Gratuities:
We recommend giving the lodge staff a 10-15% of your package price. Fly fishing guides receive approximately $60-100 per day and can be given to directly your guide. You may also settle up with the lodge manager at the end of your stay and charge this on your credit card if desired.
Fishing Licenses:
Licenses are not included. Please be prepared to pay for these on-site with cash or credit card.

Climate:
Temperatures typically range from the mid 50’s to the mid 90’s. In the summer it is usually quite warm during the day and cool in the evening. However, it is important for guests to be prepared for cold rainy conditions throughout the season.
Medical Facilities:
The closest medical facility is in Grants Pass, approximately 30 minutes from the lodge. Guests have the responsibility to disclose any special medical, physical, or dietary needs to the lodge ahead of time.
Power and Communications:
Cell phones do not work at the lodge. All rooms have an internet connection and the main lodge has wireless internet.
Clothing:
As the climate is extremely changeable and a wide range of temperatures and conditions can be expected, we recommend layering clothes. Anglers should be prepared with thermal underwear, fleece/soft shell jacket, and a rain jacket. Synthetic fabrics are preferred to cotton. Dress at the lodge is neat but casual.
Laundry:
Laundry service is not available. Morrison’s has laundry machines available for guests’ use.
Beverages/Alcohol:
Alcohol is not included in the package. Morrison’s has a fully stocked bar on-site. Be prepared to pay for what you drink.

Rod: 9-10 ft. rods in line weights 6-7.
Line: Floating lines
Leader/Tippet: 2X and 3X tippet material.
Flies: Assorted weighted nymphs. Note: split shot and other forms of attached weight is not allowed during this time of year so we often fish a two-fly set up with a heavy large nymph taking down a smaller one. As for the larger nymphs consider the following: Morrish Dirty Bird in natural and rust size 6, assorted golden stones in size 4-8, assorted dark stones and egg sucking stones in 4-8, Morrish deep October caddis pupa size 6-8, Morrish thunder eggs size 6, prince in size 6. For smaller trailing patterns consider the following in sizes 12-16: copper johns in copper and red, bloody Mary, Morrish Anto-May, flash back PT’s, Bird’s nest, and assorted glo-bugs in size 8-10.
Strike indicators and floatant.
For anglers interested in swinging flies, bring 6-8 wt. spey rods with interchangeable sink tips and 10-12 lb maxima tippet. Large Marabou and Spey patterns are effective in sizes 1-4 as well as smaller traditional patterns in sizes 4-8.
Waders & Boots: Chest high breathable and or neoprene waders with studded soles are recommended. Wading belts are also strongly recommended.
Miscellaneous: Dress in layers and bring a warm waterproof jacket and gloves. Polaroid fishing glasses, needle nose pliers or hemostats for releasing fish, nippers, camera and lots of film, insect repellent, sunscreen, a waterproof bag for your day gear, hat, bandana, split shot, and tape measure.
