Bristol Bay Sportfishing Alaska

BRISTOL BAY SPORTFISHING SLIDE SHOW

Lake Iliamna is a very special place. Not only is it Alaska’s largest lake, but it is the stage for many unique wildlife experiences. These include the world’s largest return of wild sockeye salmon, oversized, super charged chrome bright rainbows, freshwater seals, and a reported monster akin to “Nessy.” There is also a very fine lodge that we recently visited and greatly enjoyed. Catering to no more than 12 anglers, Bristol Bay Sportfishing is a wholesome, happy place in the heart of the finest fishing grounds one could imagine. With a Beaver, Cesna 185 and Pacer for logistic support, Bristol Bay Sportfishing is one of Alaska’s finer fly out lodges and the meals and accommodations match the grandeur of the surrounding region. In one week the angler can only begin to experience the many fishing opportunities at Bristol Bay Sportfishing. These include access to the early season kings of the Nushagak, the silvers of the Kamishak, and a long list of premier rainbow fisheries including the Copper, Gibraltar, Iliamna, Big Ku, Little Ku, Moraine, Battle, Newhalen and the Kvichak. For the adventuresome, remote day floats, streamside wilderness overnights, fall ptarmigan hunts and day trips to seldom seen northern She Fish systems are also available.

Bristol Bay Sportfishing Accommodations and Meals:
Each two guests share a warm, wood-paneled, guest room complete with a private bathroom, tub, and shower. The Frontier Room, in the main lodge, is the gathering place in the evening for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. You'll enjoy the warmth and atmosphere around the stone fireplace reliving the day's fishing, planning tomorrow's adventures, all while taking in a 180 degree panoramic view of Alaska's largest lake and the glacial filled mountains of the Alaska Peninsula. The food is excellent, prepared fresh daily under the experienced eye of the master chef. Before breakfasts and dinners a short prayer will be given by the lodge owner before guests are seated.
