Silent Run, Kenai
Alaska

When asked the tough question of where a fly angler stands the best chance of hooking and landing the largest of river-born rainbows, the turquoise flows of Alaska’s mighty Kenai will always be among the first mentioned. The fact of the matter is that everything about this river, including the opportunity it presents serious fly anglers, is super-sized.
While a sought-after Alaskan fly fishing destination in its own right, the Kenai is a natural add-on to extended travels in Alaska and Russia. Anglers stay at the Sterling Riverbed B&B in the town of Sterling (price not included) and are picked up each day for a full day of fishing. If you have yet to break the magic 30-inch mark, you might consider making this your next stop!
