Steelhead anglers that have fished in the Terrace, BC region have known for years that the area is as well known for it’s powder as it is for wild chrome-bright fish. Skeena Spey Lodge owner Brian Niska has put together a package that showcases the best that Terrace has to offer during the prime season.
In March and April, Skeena Spey Lodge is offering a 7 night/6 day package that includes lodging and meals at Skeena Spey Lodge, 3 days of swinging flies for spring steelhead and 3 days of heli skiing with the local pros at Northern Escape.
Accommodations and Meals: Skeena Spey Lodge is located on the banks of the Skeena River and has multiple cabins that have been recently renovated while anglers typically sleep two per cabin, single accommodations can be arranged in advance for a reasonable up-charge. Meals are served family-style in the main lodge.
Fishing Program: The mild coastal climate in the Terrace area allows for good angling conditions for ocean bright fish from March through October. During this time knowledgeable salmon and steelhead anglers from throughout the world migrate to Terrace in search of trophy fish in the Skeena River and her many tributaries.
In March and April the weather warms and fresh runs of steelhead enter the river; spring chinook (king) salmon begin migrating upriver and kicking anglers’ butts.
Day 1: Arrive Terrace, BC. A lodge representative will pick you up at the airport and drive you 15 minutes to Skeena Spey Lodge.
Days 2 – 4: Full days of guided fishing on the Skeena and Kalum Rivers.
Days 5 – 7: Full days of heli skiing with the pros from Northern Escape.
Day 8: Depart Terrace, BC.
Season: March and April
Rate: CAD$7,300 + tax per person for a 7 night/6 day package
Included: Accommodations and meals, guided fishing, guided heli skiing, transfers to/from Terrace airport to the lodge, taxes.
Not Included: Airfare to/from Terrace, fishing licenses, alcohol, staff and guide gratuities.
