Fly Fish, View Condors and witness a Solar Eclipse in Chilean Patagonia!
Next February in Patagonia there will be a unique opportunity to witness a total annular solar eclipse. An “Annular” solar eclipse occurs when the moon is at just the right distance between the Earth and Sun to produce the famous “Ring of Fire” that occurs when the moon comes directly in front of the sun. The eclipse will take place on Sunday, February 26th at 10:30 AM and the folks at La Posada de los Farios are planning a special add-on excursion to view, photograph and celebrate this unique event before or after a week of fishing at the lodge. Guests will travel to a large and remote estancia overlooking the vast Valle de la Luna near the Argentine border where they will have the chance to view Andean Condors, catch a glimpse of the Solar Eclipse and enjoy a traditional Patagonian Asado.
