Wild Osa, Angling and Eco Tour, Costa Rica

This Saturday-Sunday trip is designed for groups of four interested in experiencing Costa Rica’s incredible Osa Peninsula. The Osa offers world-class sailfishing  as well as incredible ecotours focused on adventure, wildlife, wellness and rainforest immersion. Your base for the week would be in the pristine, wild and luxurious Bosque del Cabo , widely considered one of the world’s top luxury ecolodges. This makes Osa a wonderful place for couples and families as well as fishing-only groups. Osa offers a truly exotic and wonderful experience for anglers and nature lovers alike.

From San Jose guests will take a scenic domestic flight south to the Osa Peninsula. Touted to be “one of the most biologically intense places on earth” by National Geographic, the Osa Peninsula (or Osa for short) is a place where jaguars and tapirs still haunt the jungle-covered mountaintops, and screeching scarlet macaws and toucans are a common sight. Osa offers some of the finest offshore fly fishing in the world targeting Pacific sailfish, marlin, mahi-mahi, and yellowfin tuna as well as more limited inshore opportunities to target species including giant roosterfish, snappers, groupers, and jacks.

Each day the group can choose between exploring Osa’s incredible fishing or an array of ecotours available. This itinerary is meant to highlight these possibilities, but it does not include all ecotours available. Ecotours can be repeated if desired (yoga for the entire week, for example), and each week can be customized to the group’s interests and physical abilities. Each day the group will be able to choose between fishing or one of the many ecotours.  The group can stay together or can split up and meet for a gourmet dinner and to revel in each other’s amazing experiences.

In addition to ecotour options listed, your home for the week, Bosque del Cabo, is a truly amazing place. Sit by the pool and receive visits from toucans, monkeys, and other rainforest critters, enjoy one of Bosque’s self guided rainforest trails or explore the large garden filled with towering trees and flowering plants, test your bird watching skills, or just relax and take in the beauty and nature all around you.
