Join a spectacular trip to the Amazon which combines Trophy Peacock Bass at Rio Marié with Giant Arapiama at Pirarucú Lodge. This trip is a perfect blend of two unique jungle trophy fly fishing experiences in one trip.

Rio Marié, Brazil Deep within the Brazilian rainforest near the border with Columbia lies one of the most remote and exciting peacock bass destinations in the world. Officially launching in 2015, Rio Marié has lived up to its claim of being the greatest trophy peacock bass destination the fly fishing world has ever seen. Anglers enjoy true luxury accommodations on a purpose-built mothership that moves about to unfished water each week. With over 400 miles of private water and seasoned English speaking Brazilian guides, this is the place to target well-rested double-digit monsters. Be one of the first to experience this wild region that the locals refer to as “Rio de Gigantes”. Rio Marié is entirely located inside an extensive Indian Territory, an area of more than 2 million hectares. This untouched environment has more than 400 miles of rivers, 180 known creeks, 60 lakes and three major tributaries inside the new operation area. It is the first exclusive fly fishing only project allowed and supported by the Brazilian government in conjunction with the Indian Association to create a sport fishing operation entirely within an Indian Territory.

Pirarucú Lodge, Brazil – Pirarucú Lodge is a new Brazilian destination whose primary focus is to fish over and catch an unprecedented number of arapaima – the often elusive, prehistoric and tarpon-like game fish that many consider the ultimate jungle trophy. Here anglers will fish in the Mamirauá Reserve, Brazil’s first Sustainable Development Reserve which totals more than 1 million hectares and was created first and foremost to preserve arapaima and their habitat. In addition to the hard fighting, aerial arapaima, the reserve offers great fishing for tambaqui, a large pacu like fish, the exotic arowana and yellow peacock bass. The region is characterized by long chains of lakes and interconnected channels. During the wet season, it is a world-renowned destination for birders. When the water drops in the fall, the angling opportunities reach their peak. Guests will stay at a simple, floating, solar-powered, eco-tourism lodge built from native hardwoods. The lodge features ten floating cabins. The lodge is also very suitable for guests keen on a range of general eco-tourism activities.
