This is the world of the emerald green Soča River, where we will visit one of its springs. Our main destination for the day, considered by many the most beautiful river in Europe. Let us introduce you to the world of FLY-FISHING FOR THE MARBLE TROUT. Of all the angling sports, fly-fishing is the most passionate among anglers worldwide. In the fishing world there really isn’t anything that is more delicate than a dry fly slowly drifting in the current, or more powerful than a tug from below the surface as the magnificent wild marble trout hits your fly! Absolutely nothing can compare to the excitement of that very first fish caught on a fly. The marble trout is renowned for its size and strength, providing a great challenge to the fishermen.
Lunch in Hiša Polonka – Kobarid
For non anglers we visit waterfall Kozjak and WW1 Museum for a private tour. Optional E-biking in Soča Valley

Day 5: Battler of Isonzo – Koritnica river or Lepena
This is a small river that forms from several streams below the village of Rut and runs for 4.7 km before entering the river in the village of Koritnica. Its banks are heavily wooded and its current is very swift. Just above the village of Koritnica it drops steeply into the Bača valley. It is inhabited by the river bull-head and all species of trout, except for the rainbow trout or Lepena.
Hiding under overhangs in pools on the Lepenjica are the marble trout, grayling, brown trout and rainbow trout. Coming out of the gorge, the Lepenjica has some minor rapids and then flows into the Soča close to the end of the Velika korita gorge on the Soča.
For non – anglers we visit and hike Village Drežnica

Tolminka Springs deep in the Triglav National Park in the valley Polog. The whole stretch is fishing water with the exception of the Tolmin gorge regional park. You can find all the species of trout and also grayling in the lower part.

For non – anglers we visit Tolmin Gorge  After Tolmin gorge, we continue the Kolovrat range where structures of the 3rd Italian line of defense are densely tossed on both sides of the state border. A special approach to the restoration of these positions was the use of original building materials (wire nets for fortifying slopes, corrugated sheets, slates, etc.) from the time of the First World War.

After knowledgeable introduction of WW1, we continue toward Slovenian wine region Brda

The castle used to be a representative villa and a hunting manor of the counts of Gorizia where horses were bred, before it changed hands between members of the noble Herberstein, della Torre, Attems Petzenstein and Teuffenbach families. Afterwards we enjoy more of Slovenian gastronomy with olive oil tasting in Šmartno – a gorgeous medieval town.
