Fly Water Travel has had a long love affair with the wild-steelhead bearing rivers of the remarkable Skeena watershed. The magic of this region is hard to describe if you have not been and hard to forget once you have experienced it. Frontier Steelhead Experience

Available Dates:

Notes: This is a super plush lodge on the upper Kispiox with a fun, colorful family running it. They have a diverse program that typically includes four days on the Kispiox as well as one day on the Skeena and Bulkley. This is a top-drawer set-up and offers shots at some of BC’s largest fish.


Silver Hilton Steelhead Lodge

Included: Accommodations, meals, spirits and wine at lodge, round-trip transportation between Smithers and the lodge via private helicopter charter, guiding, BC taxes, donation.

Notes: This is one of the most exclusive and sought-after steelhead lodges in the world that offers a great mix of true wilderness solitude and luxury. It is best suited to semi-independent anglers. Week 9 is a great value and tends to be cold with very stable water conditions.


Nass River Steelhead Company

Notes: This is a rustic four-person tent camp on the upper Nass. The region is very wild, and the river has lots of long easy wading runs with nice sized fish.


Steelhead Valhalla

Notes: This is arguably the most beautiful of BC’s true wilderness rivers. It has clear relatively stable water, very large fish and very little competition. It also has a great home pool.


Skeena Spey

2020 Rate: Single accommodation, shared guide $1373 CAD per person per day. Shared accommodation and guide $1226 CAD per person per day.

Notes: This is a very comfortable and accommodating operations that offers stays of varying length, instruction and tackle. They have great guides and they focus on fishing the main Skeena, using jetboats to access prime runs.


Silver Seekers

2020 Rate: $3,375 plus tax per person for a 3 night/3 day package (helicopter time will average $1,100 CAD per person per day and will be paid on-site)

Notes: This is a deluxe deal for parties of two (and as many as four) especially if they want to take advantage of heli-fishing the remote and remarkable upper Copper. This a vert customizable program with great accommodations and guiding.

Notes: This is a very simple, and slightly funky lodge that provides a great value and a very diverse and productive fishing program. This area has very little fishing pressure and two of their key systems are very hard to blow out.
