To date, we estimate that over 8,000 trips to destinations that we work with have been cancelled, with more to come. In the vast majority of these cases, the outfitters have rolled forward all or a portion of anglers’ funds to future dates. We are also sympathetic to the fact that not all guests are pleased or satisfied with a partial credit or even a full credit. To help address the situations in which a credit is less than ideal, we have created Trip Exchange.
How It Works:
● Listing a Trip: Fly Water Travel will list any trip to any destination we represent no matter how the trip was originally purchased. The one stipulation is that we will need written notification that the operator has agreed to let the credit be transferred to another party. You can list your trip at full price or at a discounted price, depending on how eager you are to sell it.
● Purchasing a Trip: This will be the same process as always. You can talk with one of our destination specialists about any trip listed. They will give you the straight facts about the trip and help you decide if it is the right one for you. The big difference is that in purchasing a trip through Trip Exchange you will also gain major karma points by helping out a fellow traveling angler in need.
● Sold Trips: For all trips sold, we will issue 100% of the purchase price (minus the destination’s rebooking fees, if applicable) as a credit towards any trip of your choice that we offer. Alternatively, we will offer a cash refund of 80% of the purchase price (minus the destination’s rebooking fee, if applicable).
