Oregon: Oregon began its first reopening stage in over 90% of counties last week. This included the limited reopening of restaurants and bars and personal services. Gatherings of up to 25 people are allowed for recreational events with physical distancing requirements. Non-residents were allowed to fish in Oregon as of May 5th, and many Oregon rivers will open for boating, camping, angling and guiding over Memorial Day weekend. The Deschutes River salmonfly hatch is in full swing and the Rogue River’s stonefly hatch is getting underway with the river opening this weekend. The Williamson River also opens this weekend, and the Owyhee River camp still has great availability for the late summer terrestrial season. Our outfitters across the state are also taking fall bookings for steelhead at this time. Many of our Oregon guides and outfitters have adopted protocols to keep clients and themselves safe while enjoying a day on the water during these times. Please feel free to call to learn more about these practices.
