For those ready to start planning their next fly fishing adventure, the Rockies are a great option in 2020, as flights are domestic and oftentimes, the destination can be reached by car. Colorado – Open: Cases have leveled off in the state of Colorado and the state is considering measures to open restaurants and non-essential businesses at limited capacity. There are no travel restrictions for the state at this time, although non-residents who are traveling to the state are asked to take all measures possible to follow social distancing guidelines. Lodges are open and taking reservations.
Idaho – Opened May 16th: Open to non-resident travelers and non-resident fishing licenses are again available to purchase. Lodges and outfitters are open and taking reservations. For full details, click here.
Montana – Opens June 1st: Montana has announced a gradual reopening of its tourism amenities and will lift the 14-day quarantine on June 1st. Fly fishing and guide services are open and taking reservations.

Wyoming – Opened May 8th: Wyoming is open to travelers, guide operations are open and taking reservations with capacity limitations.
Canada – Currently Closed: The U.S./Canada border is closed at this time to international travel and the situation will be re-assessed on June 21st.
