Pebble Mine Update

Pebble Mine Delayed – But It Isn’t Over Yet

On August 24, the U.S. Army Corps paused its federal permit for the Pebble Mine in Alaska, acknowledging the significant damage Pebble would cause to streams and wetlands in the Bristol Bay watershed. Mine developers now have 90 days to come back with a plan to offset that damage.

This delay is cause for celebration, but now it’s time to protect Bristol Bay once and for all — with an EPA veto of the Pebble Mine.
