Southern Oregon's premier rafting & fly fishing resort is located on the Rogue River in one of the most beautiful settings you will find anywhere. Originally built as a fishing lodge in 1946, Morrison's offers some of the finest steelhead fly fishing in the Northwest. Family hospitality and exemplary service combine with fine dining and spectacular scenery to make Morrison's a destination resort of choice.
This is the region’s oldest and most established full service fishing lodge. With tasteful accommodations overlooking the river, fine dining and daily guided drift boat trips targeting adult and “half-pounder" steelhead, Morrison’s remains the region’s classic fall steelheading destination.
Morrison’s Rogue River Lodge is located on the banks of the Rogue River near Merlin, Oregon.
Morrison’s expert fly-fishing guides use casting and nymphing as their main techniques. Although all guided steelhead fly fishing is boat supported, much of the fly-fishing is done by wading. Early in the season guides use nymphing techniques with heavy weighted flies and light nymphs. Later in the season during the chinook spawn, egg patterns with nymph droppers work incredibly well. For those who do not wish to wade, casting from the boat is also an option.
Guests may choose to enjoy whitewater rafting, jet boat excursions, mountain biking, wine tours, bird watching, hiking or near by winery tours if they want a day off fishing. Other options include spending the day at area attractions, such as Crater Lake, Jacksonville, Ashland, or if you like wild animals, the Wildlife Images Rehabilitation Center is just for you. The list of places and activities are endless.
