Skeena Spey British Columbia

Skeena Spey is a team of seasoned fly fishing professionals headed by renowned casting instructor Brian Niska of Whistler BC. Brian has a fabulous team of guides who pride themselves not only on putting folks onto big, bright fish but also on improving their guests’ angling and casting skills. Their fishing program will focus primarily on the main Skeena which many consider the ultimate anadromous highway and home to the largest fly friendly salmon and steelhead in the world. With parties of six or less anglers guests will enjoy single accommodations and excellent meals at their newly renovated lodge which overlooks the Skeena River in Terrace. Few places in the world boast a longer season or a more experienced crew of guides.

Location: Skeena Spey Lodge is located on the banks of the Skeena River in Terrace, BC.

Fishing Program: The mild coastal climate in the Terrace allows for good angling conditions for ocean bright fish from March through October. During this time knowledgeable salmon and steelhead anglers from throughout the world migrate to Terrace in search of trophy fish in the Skeena River and her many tributaries.

The Skeena River is one of the most important spawning grounds in all of British Columbia for Pacific Salmon, as well as its many tributaries. The area around Terrace is home to all five species of salmon as well as other species of trout as well – making it one of the best locations for fly fishing Canada has to offer.

Fisheries: Skeena Spey’s program focuses on the main-stem Skeena but they also have numerous other systems at their disposal. These include a number of lesser known Skeena River tributaries and various tributaries of the Naas and Douglas Channel.
