The Lodge at Eagle Rock Rockies

The Lodge at Eagle Rock is an impressive 8,000 square-foot historic inn that combines a magnificent setting of rustic elegance and modern amenities. Nestled on the banks of the world famous Missouri River, one of our nations’ finest blue-ribbon trout streams, and beneath majestic rocky cliffs, you will enjoy luxurious accommodations and superior service while submersed in Montana’s wild outdoors and awe inspiring scenery.

Location: The Lodge at Eagle Rock is located on the banks of the Missouri River near Cascade, MT.

Fishing Program:  The fishing program is primarily focused on fishing the Missouri River tailwater below Holter Dam. Due to the steady flows, cool water temperatures and prolific hatches associated with tailwaters, the Missouri River enjoys an incredibly high fish count and should be considered a potential trophy trout fishery. Guides access the river using drift boats and skiffs equipped to have two anglers fishing fore and aft. The frequent insect hatches give anglers the opportunity to fish dry flies to large trout throughout the season. When surface presentations are not working guests can expect to fish dry/dropper, nymph/indicator or streamer rigs, sometimes all in the same day.

When they’re in shape and fishing well, guests also have the opportunity to fish other area waters such as Prickly Pear Creek, Belt Creek, the Blackfoot River, Flat Creek, the Dearborn River and others. Day trips on these smaller rivers typically involve the guide rowing a raft with a fishing frame. Stillwater anglers should consider a trip to nearby Holter or Hauser Lakes. The outfitter that works with the Lodge at Eagle Rock also offers jet boat trips to the “Land of the Giants. Jet boat trips will incur an additional fee, payable on-site.

Accommodations and Meals:  The lodge comfortably accommodates 16 guests in 8 guest rooms. Each room has two full beds, private travertine-tiled bathrooms, flat-screen televisions and wireless internet connections. En suite bathrooms feature a jetted tub and walk-in, rain-head shower.

When your day is through you’ll relax with a 4-course gourmet dinner prepared fresh by the in-house chef. The menu relies heavily on locally-raised meats and vegetables. Breakfasts are cooked to order early enough to have you on the water during the most productive hours of the day.
