Overview

Enchanted Lake Lodge sits on a stunning, privately owned bluff overlooking Nonvianuk Lake within Katmai National Park. The surrounding area provides anglers with some of the most prolific trophy rainbow trout fishing in the world. With short flights to the renowned fishing grounds of Katmai Park, anglers maximize fishing time and often reach the water before guests of more distant lodges. Over its decades of catering to discerning anglers, Enchanted Lake Lodge has gained the reputation as the most deluxe and luxurious fly out lodge in the state. No detail is overlooked as guests are treated to fantastic accommodations, gourmet meals, two well-kept DeHavilland Beaver float planes, well-appointed jetboats and seasoned guides that intimately know these world-class fisheries. Catering to only 12 guests per week, Enchanted Lake Lodge provides what serious rainbow fishermen consider Alaska’s ultimate all-inclusive fly out experience.

Fishing Program

Located in the heart of Bristol Bay’s Katmai National Park, Enchanted Lake Lodge is one of the region's premier fishing destinations. The lodge is strategically located just minutes from many of Alaska’s most productive fisheries. This minimizes flight times and maximizes fishing time on the world-famous streams for which the state is known. While Enchanted Lake Lodge prides itself on being a rainbow focused destination, there are also all five species of Pacific salmon as well as Arctic char, Dolly Varden and grayling. During a stay with Enchanted Lake Lodge, anglers’ fishing preferences and each day's fishing conditions are considered in determining which river to fish. River options include the Brooks, Kulik, Battle, Big and Little Ku, American, Kvichak, Moraine, Funnel and many tributaries. Guests will travel by planes, jetboats or rafts to reach the day’s fishing destination.

Accommodations

Set within Katmai National Park, the lodge was originally built in 1961 and remodeled from the ground up in 2002. Today the lodge provides unrivaled luxury in a remote wilderness setting with access by float plane. The lodge has a comfortable main room where guests enjoy an open bar and appetizers. The large window-lined dining room provides a panoramic view of the massive lake below. With a superb kitchen staff and consistently delivered fresh ingredients, guests can expect meals that match any fine restaurant. Two decks provide spectacular views of Nonvianuk Lake and the Walatka Mountains. Guests can also enjoy their wood stove sauna, which is warmed and waiting at the end of each day. Each private guest cabin is comfortably furnished with ensuite bathrooms, heaters and 24-hour electricity.
