Agua Negra

Week 3
At the second week of the season we hosted 3 very good anglers. The fishing was really good and the weather was perfect, with just some soft rains at the beginning of the week that created even better conditions to activate the fish.
The water in the Agua Negra was murky along the first couple of days due to the rain but got clear very fast so both groups spent 2 days / 1 night camping out in the Agua Negra and enjoyed many chances of feeding frenzies at the lower section and sight casting opportunities at the upper section of the river.

We landed really good dorado in both the Secure and the Agua Negra Rivers and some big pacu too. The biggest fish of the week was a 23-pound dorado caught on the Secure River.

Week 3

A long wait just came to an end, and after 19 months we couldn’t be happier to get back to Tsimane. And the river has welcomed us at its best.
As every beginning, but specially this one, due to non-pressure over almost two years, the early season has been a blast.

Two anglers from the United States visited us for the very first time and fortunately they found lots of dorado following a run of small baitfish that was coming up along the Secure River.

The week started with nice but high water, good weather conditions and dorado all over the place.

The lower section of the Secure River gave the guests the chance to catch many fish with top water flies. On the upper section, after a rise happened at midweek, we got many feeding frenzie situations and fortunately our anglers were fast enough to catch many fish.

At the end of the week the water got back to its normal conditions and we went upstream to the headwaters of the Secure river were the sight fishing was amazing. The largest fish of the week was a solid 20-pounder that was spotted by our guide Franco and the team of native guides, Chubico and Dionisio.

Week 3

We received 6 guests this week, 4 Americans and 2 Brazilians. The week began with soft rains and cloudy weather that colored the water. The first couple of days were slow due the river conditions.

As soon as it cleared up the Itirisama gave the first 20 pounder of the week. The lower Pluma showed great sight fishing and gave one of our guests his first big dorado ever.

The lower secure produced multiple fish over 15-pounds and 2 over 20-pounds when the water cleared up.
